Under the Mark is built and maintained by Amcon Ceylon, a digital product studio in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Everything about this site and the app reaches the same team.

How to reach us

• General, press and business enquiries — through the contact form at amconceylon.co
• Corrections to a guide — tell us the page and what is wrong. Prices change often and we would rather hear it from you than leave it stale.
• Bugs in the app or the extension — tell us your browser and what you were doing. Since nothing is uploaded, we cannot see your data, so detail helps.
• Privacy questions — anything about what is stored and where, covered in the privacy policy.

Response times

We are a small team in the Sri Lanka time zone (GMT+5:30). Most messages are answered within two working days. Corrections to published guides are usually applied faster than that.

What we cannot help with

We cannot advise on your personal finances, investments, debts or tax. We are software builders, not financial advisers, and the disclaimer explains why that line matters. For personal advice, speak to a qualified professional in your own country.

Reporting a price that has changed

The cheaper-options feature and several of our guides quote prices for third-party services. These move constantly, and providers rarely announce it. If you spot one that is out of date, tell us the service and what it costs now, and ideally where you saw it. We would far rather correct a figure than have somebody act on a stale one.

Every price we publish carries the month it was checked, so you can judge for yourself how much to trust it before you act.

Reporting a bug

Because nothing you enter is transmitted to us, we cannot look at your data to reproduce a problem. That makes your description the only evidence we have. The details that help most:

• Which browser and version, and whether you are on desktop or mobile
• What you were doing immediately before it went wrong
• Whether it happens every time or only sometimes
• For CSV import problems, the header row of your file and one or two rows with the figures changed to something made up. Never send us a real statement.

Suggesting a guide

If there is a service you want cancellation instructions for, or a subscription you suspect has a cheaper tier nobody talks about, suggest it. Reader suggestions are where a good share of our guides start, because they come from someone who actually hit the problem.
